Meera bai once visited Shri Virndavan at a time when the great saint Sri Jeev Goswami resided there. He was a brahmchari and never met any women. Meera bai wanted to have darshan of this big saint. When she arrived at his kutiya she was stopped by one of his disciples. He asked Meera Bai to go away because Jeev never meet any women. Meera bai replyed in a meditative way –‘I heard that in Virndavan only Krishna is a Purush and all his devotees are Gopis. When Jeev Goswami's disicple told this to his master, Goswamiji was stunned and came out of his kutiya to see Meera Bai. So this is how a great Brahmancari devotee learned real meaning from Krishna Bhakti from a real Gopi - 'Meera'.
